Exciting things continue to take shape inside and around the renovation of Mayville State’s historic Old Main!

Basement: Drywall finishing and painting are underway.
First Floor: Final overhead devices and flooring installation is in progress.
Second Floor: Ceiling cloud installation continues, with construction cleaning just weeks away.
Third & Fourth Floors: Final site concrete preparation has begun.
Exterior: Concrete preparation is ongoing, while crews complete detailed touch-ups to brick, coatings, and metal panels

Every step brings us closer to reopening our cherished campus landmark. We are grateful for the skilled crews bringing new life to Old Main while preserving its historic character.

Students will have access to services in a convenient one-stop shop on the first floor.

Original beams on the third floor (above the former Old Main Theatre) have been refinished and incorporated into the new modern design.

Finishing touches are now being installed in the fourth floor conference room.

North Entry. Stonework at the north entry is complete. A final cleaning will remove grout haze and bring out the full color and detail of the stone.

Theater Sound Booth. Framing is complete. This space will house audio and lighting controls, serving as the operational hub for performances and events.
