Braaten_Jeffrey.jpgJeff Braaten was a dedicated Mayville State University supporter. Many athletes remember him from the scorer's table at home football games, as he kept the book for both the men's and women's basketball teams for many years. Jeff officiated JV basketball games, served as president of the Comet Athletic Club, and was the recipient of fundraising awards. He took on many construction projects to improve the athletic facilities - new locker rooms, weight room, offices for coaches, etc. Jeff ran the basketball and football concessions stands for a time and was a father figure to many students. Above all, Jeff embraced what it means to "bleed Comet blue" and demonstrated the true meaning of someone who gave their heart and soul to Mayville State University. After Jeff's untimely death at age 54 in 2014, his family vowed to keep his memory alive by starting the Jeff Braaten Family Endowment to support Mayville State University students with scholarship opportunities. Thank you for considering a gift in support of Jeff Braaten's legacy at MSU.
