Purpose of the Course
To provide professional development training in scientifically-based, evidence-based, and research-based reading practices to meet state requirements of HB1388.
Course Description
This course is designed to provide the professional educator with training in scientifically-based, evidence-based, and research-based teaching practices to focus on Science-Based Theory, Direct Instruction (Systematic and Explicit), Phonological Awareness to include Phonemic Awareness and the Alphabetic Principle, Phonics, Vocabulary, Fluence, and Comprehension. Educators may register through Mayville State University to receive graduate credit.
