Description of Organization:
Collegiate DECA is a student driven organization that values competence, innovation, integrity, and teamwork. We prepare students for careers by integrating skills learned in the classroom into real world experiences. Collegiate DECA programs assist in developing academically prepared, community oriented, professionally responsible, experienced leaders. Our students major in a variety of academic programs with a strong focus on business-related fields. Collegiate DECA conferences and other activities give students unique access to internships, scholarships, competition, and professional networking.
1. Excel in the classroom in areas such as marketing, finance, hospitality, management and entrepreneurship.
2. Gain a competitive edge in the global job market.
3. Develop strategic decision making and project management skills.
4. Network with business and industry experts and nearly 15,000 students and advisors.
5. Receive awards and recognition through competition and leadership action.
Our guiding principles explain how we fulfill our mission by addressing what we do and the outcomes we expect. DECA enhances the preparation for college and careers by providing co-curricular programs that integrate into classroom instruction, applying learning in the context of business, connecting to business and the community and promotion competition. Our student members leverage their DECA experience to become academically prepared, community oriented, professionally responsible experienced leaders.

ICDC is a culminating experience for many members. It provides them with the opportunity to participate in leadership development, receive recognition for their competitive achievements, and interact with nearly 2,000 students, advsiors, and industry leaders from around the world.
