Biology Majors

Biology Minors

5 or 6 sentences describing biology (or your program) at Mayville State

Starting their first year, our students work closely with faculty members in small laboratory sections. Students find faculty to be readily accessible and approachable. All of our research facilities are available to undergraduates, including the SOU Biotechnology Center, the second-largest insect collection in Oregon, a four-room greenhouse, a herbarium, a Vertebrate Natural History Museum, and a cadaver lab. Many of our faculty also involve undergraduates in field research in ecology and environmental science.

"What’s important for my students is the opportunity to advance their careers through research opportunities at MSU they might not get or have access to at other institutions. They can present their work at local, regional, and international levels. Imagine that scope as they transition from college into their careers. It could be life-changing."
