Position Details:    Mayville State University is searching for an Assistant Coach for Women's Basketball. The assistant coach is responsible for assisting the head coach in all aspects related to running a successful NAIA collegiate athletic program, including but not limited to, functioning as the head JV coach; scheduling competitions and planning practices: recruiting, coaching, mentoring and retaining student-athletes; monitoring annual budgets; arranging team and recruiting travel; supervising assistant coaches; fundraising and other departmental duties; fostering strong alumni relations and meeting all institutional, and NAIA rules and regulations.

Position Information:

The Head Cross Country Coach is responsible for all aspects of the development and coaching of the Mayville State University cross country program: recruiting student-athletes, coordinating practices and activity, travel, and promoting events and activities. This position reports to the Athletic Director and will serve as a leader of a program that competes in the Frontier Conference as part of the NAIA. The Head Coach will be responsible for organizing, directing, and administering a competitive cross-country program in the Frontier Conference and NAIA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The general responsibilities of the Head Coach include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing all aspects of the cross-country program and all athletes associated with the program
  • Successfully manage all athletes associated with the program with a targeted focus on academic success, program culture, and actions of the student-athletes
  • Design and implementation of effective practice and race plans
  • Direct and independent coaching and skills development of student-athletes during practice and competitions
  • Assessment and recruitment of prospective student-athletes
  • Supervising off-season programs and athlete development
  • Possible hosting of cross country events each year
  • Supervising budget management, equipment oversight, and travel planning
  • Participation in public relations, marketing, and fundraising for the cross country program and the athletic department
  • Ensures all appropriate safety guidelines and standards are maintained during training, practice, and competition
  • Compliance with NAIA, Frontier Conference, and Mayville State University rules and regulations

Swim Instructors help swimming students develop comfort in the water and improve their swimming skills. Comet Aquatics is looking for competent and organized swimming teachers to join our learn-to-swim program. Your primary role will be to teach people of all ages and abilities to develop swimming skills, technique and confidence in the water.

Expectations:

  • Ensure the condition of all equipment each time it is use, that equipment is used correctly, and that safety standards are followed during teaching sessions.

Position Details:

The function/mission of the Enrollment Center is to extend Mayville State University's promise of personal service to prospective on-campus first year and transfer students and parents, as well as online students by providing face-to face and virtual tours and recruitment visits, attending college fairs, visiting high schools and community colleges, and holding outreach events and visit days for prospective students. The Enrollment Center collaborates with academic divisions, athletic coaches and teams, and campus departments to assist with recruitment events and activities.

The purpose of this position is to serve prospective students, parents, staff, and others with information about the institution and its services. This position serves as a representative for functions related to the recruitment of students. The Enrollment Specialist contributes to the daily functions of the Enrollment Center to reach enrollment goals. This position assists in enhancing the prospective student experience and provides student centered services.

The Enrollment Specialist is responsible for utilizing the TargetX CRM and student records system to generate detailed reports on application activity for institutional evaluation and annual report data. The position requires frequent phone contact interaction with applicants, university administrators and departments to provide pertinent application information, working as a member of a team, and flexibility. Strong customer service skills, great attention to detail, experience with data reports, and the ability to work in a variety of operating systems.

Responsibilities and Duties Include:

  • Attend college fairs, conduct high school and community college visits, and organize other recruitment visits as needed.

Position Details:  The Vice President of Enrollment Management provides strategic leadership and direction in development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of enrollment management initiatives at Mayville State University. 7. Student Success and Retention

  • Collaborate with Student Affairs to enhance student experience and satisfaction.

8. Budget Management

Position Description & Details:

General:

Intramural Sports offer social benefits for our students, including: improved self-confidence, improved social relations, wide forum to allow students to socially interact, and increased commitment to peers.

Student Life hires Intramural Officials, who are expected to provide a safe, enjoyable, service-oriented environment for customers/participants at all times. Intramural Officials are responsible for providing an atmosphere of fun in a competitive, yet safe, environment. Officials must be able to implement Intramural Sports policies and playing rules in order to maintain an appropriate level of control, fairness, and safety. They should maintain a positive attitude on-site and should always strive to improve their officiating skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Officiate Intramural contests
  • Assist with pre- and post- game logistics and administrative functions
  • Assist with preparation and inspection of the game site
  • Understand emergency/evacuation procedures
  • Provide positive public relations, program promotion, and policy education to participants
  • Verify participant eligibility
  • Attend all officials training clinics
  • Provide a friendly, upbeat and customer service-oriented environment at all times

Preferred Work and Extra Curricular Experience:

  • Previous officiating experience
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Knowledge of game and rules and Intramural policies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Required Experience:

  • Ability to officiate multiple Intramural Sports
  • Conversant in the rules of the "in season" sport
  • Participation in Campus Recreation Intramural Sports training clinic

Education:

Must be a currently enrolled student at Mayville State University. It is preferred the applicant is a full-time student. To continue employment, the Intramural Official must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 during employment.

Compensation and hours:

The nature of Intramural seasons is this: there are weeks where an employee is busy two or three nights per week, there are weeks with no competitions. In general, Intramural employees work 0 - 8 hours per week, mostly during weekday evenings, and only occasionally on a weekend. First year Intramural Official earns $9.50/hour.
