Thomas Gieske is a sophomore from Sartell, Minn. He is pursuing a physical education degree and is a member of the varsity men's basketball team. His future plans include becoming a teacher and coaching basketball at the high school level somewhere in Minnesota. Thomas chose Mayville State because of the small-town qualities and the opportunity to be part of the basketball program. Small class sizes and the relationships he’s made at Mayville State are what Thomas loves most about MSU. His favorite Mayville State memory is winning the conference championship and participating in the national tournament. Coach Dalton Kleinschmidt is his Mayville State mentor.
