Sadie Matthews is a junior from Horace, North Dakota. She is pursuing a major in elementary education with a specialization in early childhood, as well as a minor in coaching. Sadie's favorite class is any education class that is hands-on. Sadie is the president of the Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), serves on the North Star Athletic Association Board of Student Athletes (BOSA) for Mayville State, and is a peer leader on campus. Sadie's future plan is to teach for the Department of Education on military bases overseas. What Sadie loves most about Mayville State is the family feel. She says that everyone wants to be a part of each and every student's life and there is so much support throughout the school. Her Mayville State mentor is her softball coach, Comets head coach Ashley Tomblin. Sadie says that Ashley has been an amazing coach and someone who has helped guide her through the past three years.
