Joshua Portillo from Tulare, Calif. is a junior at Mayville State, majoring in University Studies. He hopes to become an adapted physical education teacher. Rhythms and Tumbling, taught by Ashley Nelson, is his favorite class. Josh is a wide receiver for the Comets football team. His best Mayville State memory is breaking the record for most receiving yards in a game when the Comets played Presentation College. Josh says he loves the small classroom sizes at Mayville State and the wonderful people who make it a tight-knight community. Academic advisor Remington Herman is Josh’s Mayville State mentor.
