The Mayville State University Larson Leadership Program is sponsoring an informal discussion of leadership and leadership development. This event is scheduled for Wed., April 3, at 7:00 p.m. in the MSU Campus Center Luckasen Room. The public is invited to attend and participate.

The discussion will feature the experiences of Paul and Laura Anderson, Sabin, Minn. The Andersons are Clay County’s representatives in the Red River Valley Emerging Leadership Program. They were recently recognized at the Agassiz Leaders Awards Banquet through the University of Minnesota Extension System.

As part of their leadership development, the Andersons have participated in education sessions along with other rural leaders from Northwestern and West-Central Minnesota. These sessions have focused on topics including leadership styles, communication in leadership, community leadership, and legislative issues.

The Andersons operate Paul’s fourth-generation family farm near Comstock, Minn., farming 2,000 acres of wheat, soybeans, and sugar beets. Laura also teaches fourth grade in the Barnesville (Minn.) School System.
