The annual Mayville State University employee recognition banquet was held Tuesday evening, April 9, 2013, at the Mayville State Campus Center Luckasen Room. All Mayville State employees and their spouses were invited to attend, as were Mayville State retirees and spouses. Special recognition was given to those employees who have reached milestones in years of service and those who have retired in the last year. The recipient of the Orville Johnson Meritorious Service Award was also named.

Those honored are as follows:

30 years of service - Dr. Raymond Gerszewski.

20 years of service – Dr. Robert Miess, Robert Sylskar.

15 years of service – Kathleen Ford, Sharyl Hanson, Wendy Hanson, Dawn Huard, Rhonda Nelson, Dr. John Pederson, Carmen Rygg, Dr. Keith Stenehjem.

10 years of service – Mike Bakken, Lou Dauphanais, Brittany Stevenson, Gary Stordahl.

5 years of service – Susan Cordahl, Jane Grinde, Lindsey Johnson, Jeremiah Moen, Jim Morowski, Brian Norstebon, Denise Overmoe, John Peterson, Debi Race, Jennifer Rost, Derek Schlieve.

2012-2013 retirees - Arlys Bye, Dr. Kathleen Champion, Carol Eken, Beverly Holt, John Lankow, Dr. Paul Meartz, Patricia Nordine, Dennis Schultz.

Retiring faculty member Dr. Paul Meartz was conferred the distinction of professor emeritus during the banquet program.

Bev Holt, custodian with the facilities services department, was named the 2013 recipient of the Orville Johnson Meritorious Service Award. This award recognizes outstanding service by members of Mayville State classified staff.
