Mayville State University Child Development Programs is partnering with the YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties Early Learning Program to provide Early Head Start (EHS) Services to eligible families in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Children who enroll must be between the ages of six weeks and two years.

EHS is a low-income-based program that provides quality child care for families who cannot otherwise afford it. If families are elgible for the program, they receive child care at no cost from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. During this time, children receive multiple services provided by the programs, including a comprehensive curriculum, health screenings, and hearing/vision screenings. Additionally, parents and caregivers receive trainings, resources, guidance, and family activity opportunities.

The EHS services are available at the YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties Early Learning Center South (4225 38th St. S, Fargo) and Early Learning Center West Fargo (1042 14th Ave. E) locations. The goal is to reach multiple families who will benefit from quality child care programs and who may not otherwise be able to do so.

Fall enrollment will begin immediately after Labor Day. For more information or to submit an application, contact Kayla Ness at 701-788-4868 or kayla.morehart@mayvillestate.edu or Tania Erickson at 218-359-2323 or erickson@ymcacassclay.org.
