High school sophomores, juniors, and seniors are invited to audition for Mayville State’s Fall 2023 Honor Band Nov. 17 and18. Honor Band participants will rehearse Friday evening and throughout the day on Saturday, leading up to a public performance at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18.
All participants will receive an honor band T-shirt and lunch will be provided on Saturday. Scholarship opportunities are available to Honor Band participants.
Auditions will be conducted through video file submission. Registration and audition files are due by Nov. 10. Students are encouraged to register before Oct. 27 for a discounted registration fee of $12.50. Starting Oct. 28, the registration fee will be $23.
"I encourage high school musicians to get involved for what will be an unforgettable musical experience,” said Dr. Byron Ward, Mayville State instructor of music and director of music. “This is a great opportunity to play with other high school musicians from the surround area and to learn about what Mayville State has to offer.”
