Dr. Michael Kjelland, assistant professor of biology (pictured in the center back), recently spoke with fourth grade students at Bowman (N.D.) Elementary School. The themes for the discussion were fossils and cultural diversity. Dr. Barrientos, a visiting scholar from Mexico (pictured in the back right), had an opportunity to visit with the students as well.
Dr. Kjelland has frequently been in the news during the last several months. He was part of a team that discovered a 65 million-year-old triceratops skull in western North Dakota.
