Heather Hoyt, Mayville State University Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs and Director of Admissions & Academic Records, has been named one of Prairie Business’s 2022 Top 25 Women in Business. Recipients were selected through a nomination process that emphasized professional achievement, community contributions, and volunteerism.

The Top 25 represent finance, health care, manufacturing, and a number of other industries and professions. Each has made exceptional contributions in their chosen careers and communities. The annual Top 25 Women in Business contest was created to draw attention to the many creative and successful businesswomen in North Dakota, South Dakota, and western Minnesota, and the impact they have on industry and economy in the region.

Heather Hoyt is a native of Cooperstown, N.D. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mayville State University, then began a career in the Mayville State admissions office. Five years later, she accepted a position as business analyst with the North Dakota University System Core Technology Services. Heather returned to her alma mater in 2018 as Director of Academic Records and Registrar. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree.

“Heather Hoyt is a shining star at Mayville State University,” said Mayville State University President Dr. Brian Van Horn. “We value her leadership and commitment to making a positive impact at Mayville State every day, and we are delighted that she has been honored with this well-deserved regional recognition.”
