Ryan Hall has resigned from his position as Mayville State University Athletic Director to take the position of Assistant Athletic Director of Development at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La.

Hall will complete his tenure at Mayville State at the end of February. A plan for interim coverage of athletic director duties and the search to fill the position on a permanent basis are underway.

“This is a great opportunity for me and my family,” said Hall. “Leaving Mayville State is bittersweet, for sure, but those who know me will tell you that I live for my faith, family, and a competitive edge that challenges me to be my best self in all that I do. I am blessed to do what I love every day and now I will have a chance to continue to do it at the Division I level at another great school and with the great team at Northwestern State.”

“We appreciate the outstanding work that Ryan Hall has done to move Comet Athletics to new levels of success for our student-athletes, coaches, alumni, and community, and for the university as a whole,” said Mayville State University President Dr. Brian Van Horn. “He and his family have embraced the university and community wholeheartedly and it has been a pleasure to have them as part of the Mayville State family. We are sorry to see them go, but we wish them all the best as they work to achieve their life goals and dreams.”
