Final official enrollment numbers for the Fall Semester of 2021 show headcount enrollment at Mayville State University is up slightly over last year at 1,172 students. Included in the 1,172 are 182 new freshmen. This number reflects a 28% increase in the number of new freshmen this year, as compared to the number of new freshmen who enrolled in the Fall Semester of 2020.

“We are thrilled to welcome many new students to Mayville State University this fall,” said Mayville State University President Dr. Brian Van Horn. “They join a group of outstanding returning students who appreciate a personal approach to education at a smaller public university.”

This fall, there are nearly 2.5% more full-time students enrolled at Mayville State than there were last fall.

The Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) figure for the Fall Semester of 2021 is 815, a 2% increase over the fall of 2020. This marks the second-highest-ever FTE at Mayville State, following just slightly behind the Fall Semester of 2018 when the FTE was a record-high 817.

“Our staff and faculty have worked extremely hard to help prospective students learn more about the wonderful opportunities at Mayville State University, even when the coronavirus pandemic made it very difficult to communicate with potential students,” said President Van Horn. “We are giving our students outstanding opportunities for successful futures, all at an affordable cost. I am very proud of our faculty and staff who are making a positive difference in the lives of our students while impacting the needs of North Dakota.”
