Mayville State University is experiencing record enrollment for the eighth-straight year. The final official count indicates a 2.3% increase in the number of students enrolled this fall, when compared to the fall semester of 2018. Headcount for the fall semester of 2019 is at 1,212. This marks the first time that university enrollment has topped the 1,200-student mark.

“We’re very pleased to be experiencing another enrollment record at Mayville State,” said Mayville State University President Dr. Brian Van Horn. “Our last eight years of consistent growth shows that Mayville State continues to be a school of choice. Small public universities are necessary and play a vital role in our state’s success. Affordability, easy access, and the personal service our students experience are significant factors that weigh into student decisions. Mayville State continues to make an important positive impact on the workforce needs of North Dakota. We look forward to continuing to partner with North Dakota colleges, universities, and high schools as we work to educate the workforce of the state.”

“We have seen nice growth in a number of our online programs and are excited to have welcomed a new batch of first-year and transfer students to our campus,” said Dr. Andrew Pflipsen, Vice President for Student Affairs. “We are grateful for our faculty and staff who continue to make personal service a priority at Mayville State University, and we’re very proud of their recruitment and retention efforts.”
