Comet pride shone brightly during Homecoming/Farmers Bowl 2026 :: Mayville State University

Homecoming/Farmers Bowl 2026 was a tremendous success, bringing together students and their families, alumni, friends, and community members to celebrate everything that makes Mayville State special. From honoring outstanding alumni and hall of fame inductees, touring the exciting Old Main renovation, and gathering for socials and reunions, to the Ceremony of Remembrance, parade, corn and hot dog feed, tailgating, a big win for Comet football, and the Farmers Bowl Auction, the weekend was filled with tradition, connection, and Comet pride.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, participated, and cheered along the way. Your enthusiasm and support helped create an unforgettable celebration and demonstrated the strength of the Mayville State family and our gratitude for the agricultural way of life in this area of the world.

We're grateful for the memories made, the friendships renewed, and the traditions that continue to bring us together year after year. Thank you for making Homecoming/Farmers Bowl 2026 one to remember!

Dr. Lon Jorgensen, Executive Director of the MSU Foundation. was emcee for the traditional Ceremony of Remembrance held at the Military Honor Garden.

The Mayville State Choir, under the direction of Dr. Cyril Myers, Jr., and accompanied by Julie Twedt, provided musical selections at the Ceremony of Remembrance.

Mayville State President Dr. Brian Van Horn and his son, Will, led the Farmers Bowl parade on a John Deere tractor owned by Harlan Johnson.

Teresa Agnes's colleagues in the Mayville State Division of Education were out in full force to support her during her induction into the Mayville State Performing Arts Hall of Fame on September 18.

Lisa Rakowski represented the local Sons of Norway lodge in the Homecoming/Farmers Bowl parade.

Members of the local American Legion color guard led the parade, while this parade entry followed behind.

Comets Baseball players displayed signs representing sponsors of the Farmers Bowl Auction.

Members of the Mayville State basketball team brought a little basketball fun to the festivities.

Alumni Tom and Jeanie Pahl and family brought their donut wagon and donated the profits to Comets Baseball.

This kids-size Gator, donated by Valley Plains Equipment, was the perfect item for the annual Farmers Bowl Auction.
