Members of Mayville State University’s Collegiate DECA excelled in competitions during the North Dakota Collegiate DECA Career Development Conference held in Fargo, N.D. on Feb. 13 and 14, 2025. The annual state conference provided an opportunity for the students to compete in business-related events against 112 of their peers representing ten other North Dakota colleges and universities. Twenty-two of 25 members qualified for the international competition that will be held in San Francisco, Calif. in April.

Mayville State students were also successful in bringing home individual awards. Logan Maus and Samantha Passa received the North Dakota Collegiate DECA Outstanding Service Award. This chapter leadership award is designed to recognize Collegiate DECA student members for their leadership in their community, on their campus, and with their chapter. The Mayville State University Collegiate DECA chapter was awarded the North Dakota Collegiate DECA Community Service Award in recognition of the time spent painting pumpkins with the residents of the Luther Memorial Home.
The successful afternoon was capped off with the announcement indicating that Mayville State’s Kadyn Helde and Malachi Beaulieu were elected to serve as vice presidents for North Dakota Collegiate DECA in the 2025-26 school year.
