Just like a perfectly run high pressure clutch time two-minute drill, Comets fans have come through!

When an anonymous Mayville State University donor issued a $20,000 Football Scholarship Challenge to all Mayville State alumni and friends, they stepped up in a big way. Together, they raised the $20,000 and more! All of this was done in just 20 days! These contributions from alumni and friends received through Jan. 31, 2020 are being matched dollar-for-dollar (up to $20,000) by the anonymous donor and will benefit football scholarships.

This influx of $42,945 will assist new Comets head football coach Rocky Larson and the Fall 2020 football staff as they work to recruit and retain quality student-athletes for the MSU Comets football team this fall. The scholarships will be a big boost as Coach Larson and his staff work to keep Comets Football moving in the right direction.

“We are extremely excited about this tremendous support from our alumni and friends,” said Mayville State Athletic Director Ryan Hall. “Thank you to all who embraced the challenge and to our anonymous donor who provided the impetus for this big time win for Comets Football. What a great way for all of you to show and celebrate your support. Go, Comets!”
