"Sex Signals" Program

Mar 20th 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Old Main Theatre - 330 Third Street NE, Mayville, ND

“Sex Signals” is a program that blends a unique combination of improvisational comedy, education, and audience participation. There is no admission charge, and the public is welcome to attend.

“Sex Signals” provides a provocative, in-your-face look at issues surrounding dating, sex, and date rape on college campuses. Through the use of humor, the show explores how mixed messages, gender role stereotypes, and unrealistic fantasies contribute to misunderstandings between the sexes. Audiences are thus engaged in a candid discussion on dating and the realities of date rape as they are challenged to provide solutions that will better improve communications in interpersonal relationships. The performers have extensive training in interactive theater and sexual assault prevention education.

Since the inception of “Sex Signals” in 2000, more than 1,000 shows have been given at over 400 colleges and universities, making it one of the country’s most popular lecture programs. For more information, go to www.catharsisproductions.com.

The showing of “Sex Signals” at Mayville State University is sponsored by the Student Activities Council. For more information, contact Kelsey Henning at kelsey.henning@mayvillestate.edu or 701-788-4822.
