The 39th Annual Mayville State University Golf Classic is scheduled for June 13 and 14, 2014 at Detroit Lakes, Minn. Each year, alumni and friends from across the country make Detroit Lakes their destination the second weekend in June for golfing, making new friendships, and renewing old friendships. If you don't play golf, just come and visit, participate in the Friday night scholarship event, and enjoy the weekend.

Friday Scramble

 

The weekend kicks off with a 4-person scramble at the Forest Hills Golf & RV Resort, 22931 185th St., Hwy 10, Detroit Lakes, Minn. The scramble begins with a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 13. There is a burger bar following the golf event. Women are encouraged to participate. Proceeds from this event go to Comet Athletic Club, providing scholarships for Mayville State student athletes.

Registration deadline is June 7.

Scholarship Event & Social

 

All friends and alumni of Mayville State are invited to participate in this annual get-together at the Detroit Country Club Dining Room. The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. and should wrap up about 9:00 p.m.

The Classic

 

The Mayville State University Alumni Golf Classic is scheduled for Saturday, June 14. It is the oldest medal play university alumni golf tournament in the world. The tournament begins with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start at the Detroit Country Club. Awards will be presented to all winners (and others) beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the Country Club.

Breakfast for Women

 

All interested Mayville State women are invited to gather and have lunch Saturday, June 14 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the Speak Easy in Detroit Lakes (1100 N Shore Dr.). No host lunch from the menu.
