Memorial Service to Honor Matt Holland

Students, faculty, and staff at Mayville State University will honor Matthew Holland at a memorial service planned for 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015. The service will be held in the Mayville State University Classroom Building Auditorium. Matt Holland, a Mayville State student and tight end on the MSU Comets football team, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015. The Barnesville, Minn. native was a freshman at Mayville State.
Funeral services for Matt will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015 at Barnesville (Minn.) High School. Burial will follow in Rosemound Cemetery, Barnesville, Minn. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Barnesville, with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the high school.
