The spring semester began last week, and we are energized for what the new academic term will bring. It is exciting to welcome new students to the Mayville State family, and it is equally exciting to see so many students who were with us during the fall semester return after the break. First day enrollment numbers show an increase over the Spring Semester of 2025 and the positivity found university-wide continues.
Gifts made to the Mayville State University Foundation through the efforts of Giving Hearts Day on Thursday, Feb. 12 will support scholarships for students enrolled in the RN-to-BSN and MSN nursing programs at Mayville State University. This is an opportunity for donors to help make a difference in the need for nursing professionals in the local area, as well as the state of North Dakota and beyond. Renovation activity at Mayville State University’s iconic Old Main continues. The project marks an exciting new chapter for the 135 year old landmark. After receiving more than $52 million in state funding during the 2023 North Dakota legislative session, the university has embarked on an ambitious plan to modernize the building while preserving its historical character.
The MSU Foundation annual scholarship fundraising drive kicked off in December and is still underway. Scholarship assistance truly makes a difference for students who are becoming the leaders of tomorrow. Knowing the character and work ethic of Mayville State students makes me optimistic for the future.

The feature spotlights the Student Education Association’s commitment to strengthening early childhood learning and supporting the educators who serve young learners every day.
Mayville State University’s proud tradition of baseball excellence was on full display at the recent American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) convention in Columbus, Ohio, January 9-11, 2026, where baseball coaches from all levels congregated for education, networking, and inspiration.
