Students Returning After a Break or New Transfer Students

If you have taken a break in enrollment (skipped a semester or more) or you are transferring to Mayville State, you must submit a new Minnesota Reciprocity application.

Returning Students not Enrolled in the Previous Academic Year

If you previously had reciprocity but did not take classes or earn credits at Mayville State during the past academic year, you must reapply for reciprocity through the Minnesota Office of Higher Education.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Note: Until reciprocity is granted, students are required to pay the Non-Resident tuition rate, which is higher than the MN Resident rate. The Minnesota Reciprocity tuition rate is granted only to students who have received prior approval from the Minnesota Office of Higher Education or who enroll at Mayville State University for the 2025-2026 academic year and graduated from a MN high school less than twelve months previously. If eligible, the Minnesota reciprocity rate will be applied for the current term and concurrent future terms.
