The Mayville State University employee recognition banquet, held Thursday evening, May 2, 2024, was a tribute to the employees of Mayville State for their work and commitment to the university. The annual event was held at the Mayville State Campus Center Luckasen Room. All Mayville State employees and their guests were invited to attend, as were Mayville State retirees and their guests.
Marissa Blaufuss was named the 2024 recipient of the Orville Johnson Meritorious Service Award. This award recognizes outstanding service by members of Mayville State classified staff. Marissa works in Building Services.
Retirees were also recognized. Those who have or will retire this year are Cheryl Angen (31 years of service), Aprill Hastings (24 years of service), Pamela Johnson (seven years of service), and Connie Kaldor (28 years of service).
Special recognition was given to employees who have reached milestones in years of service. Those honored are as follows:
25 years of service – Kelli Odden;
20 years of service – Kelly Kornkven, Bambi Manthey, and Kara Schreiner;
15 years of service – Shannon Skovlund;
10 years of service – Brittany Hagen, Dena Bergstrom, Collette Christoffers, Douglas Eastman, Ashley Henn, Jeffrey Hovde, and Heather Hoyt;
5 years of service – Katelyn Aasen, Lindsay Bontjes, Matthew Dalrymple, Heather Hutchins, Janell Juelich, Jodi Larson, Leah Larson, Alexis Lindberg, Jeannie Northburg, and Taylor Simon.
