Mayville State was fortunate to receive $52 million in state funding for the renovation of Old Main. Funding was awarded through the work of the North Dakota legislature during the spring 2023 session. Preliminary work has been underway for a while. The architectural firm of Foss Architecture + Interiors was recently hired. A Construction Manager at Risk will be hired soon.

Now the architects want to hear from stakeholders! A very important part of the design process is to gather information from students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. The information will be used as the architects formulate their plans.

Mayville State students, faculty and staff have been invited and are encouraged to take part in a campus input meeting Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the MSU Classroom Building Auditorium.

Plans are underway for a similar event for alumni and community members. Mark your calendar for Tuesday, Nov. 28 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the MSU Classroom Building Auditorium. Further information about how alumni and community members can participate in person or provide input from a distance will be available soon.

Throughout the renovation process, information about the project will be available at www.mayvillestate.edu/oldmain. At this site, you’ll find a link to the Foss Architecture web presence dedicated to the project, as well as information from the local Mayville State perspective.

Don’t miss this opportunity to share your thoughts and ideas for consideration in this extremely exciting project for Mayville State University!
