Make plans to participate in all that is planned from Saturday, August 24 through Saturday, August 31. Kick off the semester in the best possible way!

All new on-campus students are expected to participate in all of the Welcome Week activities.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 24

Move in and Settle in
Get comfortable in your home away from home.
    10 a.m. - Residence Halls

Lunch
Lunch is on your own. Invite your friends and family to join you.
   12 p.m. - Campus Center Dining Services

Family Farewell
Time for hugs and farewells as parents and families head out and your Mayville State experience begins.
   2 p.m.

Welcome Week Kickoff
Gather for introductions, a rundown of events for the week, and more! Meet the Mayville State Peer Leaders and residence hall assistants! Be ready to chat with your fellow Comets through an icebreaker game or two :) 
   2 p.m. - Classroom Building Auditorium

Block Party

The businesses in downtown Mayville are eager to greet you! They'll be open from 3 to 6 p.m. This event is required for all first-year students, and available for everyone.
    2:45 p.m. - Walk from Auditorium to Downtown Mayville

Dinner
Dinner is on your own. Invite your new Mayville State friends to join you.
   6 p.m. - Campus Center Dining Services

Strong Start at MSU
Gather for a chance to learn more about university life. This event is required for all first-year students. Transfer students are encouraged to participate.

David Anthony, Comedy Hypnotist
Imagine the person that was sitting next to you just a few minutes ago is now up on stage and can't remember their own name, or better yet, on the stage claiming that their belly button was stolen! This is just the beginning of what you can expect. David will invite anyone who is interested to get hypnotized on stage. In just a few moments, the volunteers fall into a hypnotic trance. David Anthony is an award-winning entertainer. Audiences of all types have enjoyed his unique style of entertainment.

The President's Cabinet, Student Senate president, and other student leaders are eager to meet you and will be serving up a picnic meal.
