New for the Fall Semester of 2023!
The Edson and Margaret Larson New Student Scholarship recognizes leadership, community service, and academic achievement for North Dakota residents or graduates of North Dakota high schools.
North Dakota students who will be new to Mayville State in the Fall Semester of 2023 and who have a grade point average of 3.25 or greater may be eligible for scholarship awards of $2,500 to $5,000!
Scholarship Criteria
Recipients of the Edson and Margaret Larson New Student Scholarship must
- have a grade point average of at least 3.25
- be a resident of North Dakota or graduate of a North Dakota high school
- be a full-time student
Applicants are required to complete an application, submit an essay describing their leadership qualities and academic goals, as well as a letter of recommendation from a teacher or school administrator. This letter of recommendation should speak to the applicant's leadership qualities and work ethic.
