Disability Awareness Exhibition

Dec 04th 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Education Building, Room 118 - 330 Third Street NE, Mayville, ND

The public is invited to participate in the EDUC 389: Foundaitons of Special Education Disability Awareness Exhibition Wednesday, December 4 from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. in the Education Building, room 118, at Mayville State.

Students in EDUC 389: Foundations of Special Education will exhibit their in-depth examination of a specific causal disorder or disability during an information session. Observe their work, ask MSU students questions, and learn about different disabilities.

"Performing for Change," a group of adults with disabilities, will provide a performance of "Grease." "Perfrorming for Change" is a small performing arts company from Grand Forks, N.D. for people with disabilities via the L.I.S.T.E.N. They follow the civil rights model of disability, which says in a very creative way, "Listen, it's not the disability that is the problem, it is more how society views the disability, and therefore it is society that has to change."
