Why did you choose to attend Mayville State University?
To play football and earn a quality education.

What do you like best about the major you’re pursuing?
My business administration major will help me when I go back to work on the family farm. To go along with this, the physical education major will allow me to teach young athletes how to be safe and healthy.

What do you like best about Mayville State in general?
On this small campus, you get to meet and know everybody. I also enjoy the friendliness and generosity shown by all the faculty and staff.

Do you participate in any activities related to your major/minor? Internships? Work Study? Other?
I am a part of the Larson Leadership Core. I also working in the campus mailroom. Next spring I’ll be doing an on-campus internship where I’ll work with databases for the Education Division.

Have you had any unique opportunities, in or out of the classroom, while you’ve been enrolled at Mayville State?
I am a Peer Leader, which gives me the responsibility to be a mentor in the freshman Seminar on Success classes.

What MSU clubs, organizations, or athletic activities to you participate in?
I am a member of the Comet Football Team, the Peer Leader organization, and the Larson Leadership Core.

How have these activities enhanced your college experience?
I have made many lifelong friends with football and being a college athlete. This has also enhanced my leadership skills, as has being in peer leaders and a part of the Larson Leadership Core.

What has been your greatest moment as a Mayville State student?
Beating Valley City State University twice in football in my first three years is great! I have two more years of football left and hope we’ll be able to continue that feat. Making 2nd Team all-Conference for football this season is a highlight as well.

What does personal service mean to you?
It means being able to give advice, wisdom, or a helping hand to someone in need of it.

What are your plans after graduating from Mayville State?
I plan to move back home to Elgin, North Dakota, get married and have children, while taking over the family farm with my father. I’ll do carpentry work as a hobby, along with coaching football at my high school.
