National Guard Tuition Waiver In ND, National Guard members may be eligible for a Tuition Waiver provided by the DOD. Please contact your Guard Unit for additional details of this program.
Rural Benefit Payment If you are eligible for Chapter 33 benefits, you may also qualify for the rural benefit payment which is a one-time lump sum of $500. This payment is available to students who reside in a county with 6 persons or fewer per square mile. You must also either physically relocate at least 500 miles to attend an educational institution or relocate by air to attend if no land travel is available. Prior Learning Credit Veteran students have several different ways to receive credit for their previous military or academic experiences. These credit-by-exam programs include Advanced Placement (AP), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), International Baccalaureate (IB) and DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DDST).
