To help ensure the safety of Mayville State University alumni and friends in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the decision has been made to cancel all indoor events previously planned as part of the Homecoming 2020 festivities. Come "home" to Mayville for Homecoming 2020!

Join in the fun as we celebrate all the great things happening at Mayville State University and give a salute to our military veterans. A special invitation is extended to all former employees of long-time custodian Jim Lyng.

Several Athletic Hall of Fame teams are marking anniversaries in five-year increments in 2020. They include the 1940, 1965, and 1990 football teams, the 1970 and 1990 baseball teams, and the 1995 men's basketball team. Mark your calendar for the weekend of Oct. 16-18 and stay tuned! We'll be honoring Rich Dean, Cassie Leraas, and Jeremy Strand as they are inducted into the MSU Athletic Hall of Fame, and Richard Saxlund, Todd Olson, Curt Herman, Mark Frost, and Earl Larson as they are inducted into the Athletic Coaches Hall of Fame. Festivities are planned for the evening of Oct. 16.

New this year! The Distinguished Alumni and Distinguished Service Award recipients will be honored along with the Performing Arts Hall of Fame inductees at a brunch planned for the morning of Oct. 17. Receiving the Distinguished Alumni Award this year are Jane Bjornstad and Dr. John Lyng. Former Mayville State employees Jim Lyng and Becky Gunderson will receive the Distinguished Service Award. All alumni are invited to start the day right with a delicious brunch and an opportunity to honor several distinguished Mayville State graduates and friends. The Distinguished Service Award will be bestowed upon former long-time Mayville State employees Becky Gunderson and Jim Lyng. Ceremony of Remembrance at the Military Honor Garden

Come and honor our alumni and friends who have served their country that we may live in freedom and that again there may be "peace on earth, good will toward men." The names of all who have been honored with plaques in the Military Honor Garden will be read. .

Lunch

Enjoy a bowl of chili and a beverage while socializing with your Mayville State friends. Free-will donations to help defray expenses will be accepted.

This will also be the gathering spot for all former employees of long-time Lewy Lee Fieldhouse custodian Jim Lyng. 

First State Bank Pre-Game Refreshments

12:30 to 2 p.m., just outside of Jerome Berg Field

The folks with First State Bank will be cooking up hot dogs and burgers. Freewill donations will be used to support Mayville State's student athletes through the work of the Comet Athletic Club. Everyone is welcome! Many thanks to First State Bank for their generosity.

Homecoming Football Game

2 p.m., Jerome Berg Field

Mayville State University vs. Dickinson State University

Come out and cheer the Comets to victory! The homecoming honorees will be recognized during half-time.

Homecoming Concert 

1 p.m., Concert Band Live-stream

3 p.m., Concert Choir Live-stream

This event will be live-streamed. There will be no in-person audience.
