Out of an abundance of caution related to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mayville State University officials have decided to postpone the Saturday, Sept. 26 home football game versus Dakota State. The game will be played at Jerome Berg Field in Mayville on a November date to be determined.

The annual community Farmers Bowl festivities which were also planned for Sept. 26 are cancelled. Those activities include a parade, corn on the cob and hot dog feed, and silent auction. The Comet Athletic Club Sportsmen’s Raffle will be broadcast live on Facebook beginning at 7 p.m. There will be no in-person raffle event.

Farmers Bowl Parade

The Farmers Bowl Parade is highly-anticipated by young and old alike. Don't miss out on the fun Saturday, Sept. 26! The parade will begin in downtown Mayville, north of the Goose River Bank, and make its way through town, ending on the Mayville State campus. Parade start time is noon. To register an entry in the parade, call 701-788-4864 or email stacy.buchl@mayvillestate.edu.

In consideration of safety related to the coronavirus pandemic, we are asking that parade entrants to not throw out candy or other giveaways. Instead, MSU Foundation staff will be assembling goody bags that can be picked up at the site of the corn and hot dog feed following the parade.

Bookstore Open

The Mayville State University Bookstore will be open from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on Sept. 26. Stop in and check out the latest in Comet gear!

Corn and Hot Dog Feed

Following the parade, everyone is welcome to enjoy corn on the cob and hot dogs. As a measure of safety, meals will be packaged in to-go containers. Seating will not be provided. The Mayville State athletic teams are coordinating this year's feed. Freewill donations will be accepted.

The Comet Athletic Club will host their annual Sportsmen's Raffle in conjunction with Farmers Bowl again this year!
