The role of the VA certifying official at Mayville State University is to assist current and new students with the application and certifying process for VA Benefits. As you begin your educational journey, please keep in mind that VA certifying officials are unable to make VA benefit selections for you. Students are encouraged to visit the VA Benefits website www.va.gov and their local installation education office before meeting with school officials in order to have a general understanding of the VA process. Mayville State University's VA certifying official will, however, direct students to proper VA application procedures, certify enrollments, communicate changes in University policy, or procedure which may impact enrollment and answer all VA questions to the best of her ability.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has determined that Mayville State University is a Principles of Excellence (PoE) institution. (September 2020)
