Utilizing the Academic Standing Chart (Example)

  1. What is the student’s Previous Standing at the end of the last term? (Warning)

  2. Column 1, under Previous Standing, use line 5 (Warning)

  3. Column 1, under End of Current Term (Semester) IF Min. Term GPA is < 2.00 & Cum GPA is >2.00, then the student remains on Warning.

  4. Column 2, End of Current Term (Semester), IF Min. Term GPA is < 2.00 & Cum GPA is < 2.00, then the student is under Probation.

  5. Column 3, End of Current Term (Semester), IF Min. Term GPA is > 2.00 & Cum GPA is < 2.00, then the student remains on Probation.

  6. IF all factors are > 2.00 then the student would be in Good standing for the next semester. Note: This scenario is not on the chart but would appear at the end of the semester as Previous Standing (Good).
