Due to inclement weather on March 5, the schedule for public forums with candidates for Mayville State president has been adjusted. See updated schedule below.
The public is invited to attend open forums with candidates for the position of Mayville State University president. Each candidate will make a formal presentation on the topic "Strategies for Growth for Small, Rural Universities that Best Serve the Needs of a 21st Century Student." This will be followed by a time for questions and answers. Candidate campus visits are scheduled for March 5-8. All open forums and presentations will be held in the MSU Classroom Building Auditorium.
The open forum schedule is as follows:
- Dr. Bernell Hirning – Tuesday, March 6, 10 to 10:45 a.m.
- Dr. Timothy O'Keefe – Tuesday, March 6, 2:15 to 3 p.m.
- Dr. Brian Van Horn - Wednesday, March 7, 10 to 10:45 a.m.
- Dr. Tom Corti - Wednesday, March 7, 2:15 to 3 p.m.
- Dr. Keith Stenehjem – Thursday, March 8, 10 to 10:45 a.m.
Dr. Tom Corti is vice president for student affairs at Farmingdale State College, SUNY, Farmingdale, N.Y.
Dr. Bernell Hirning is interim associate vice president and associate regional dean at National University, Fresno, Calif.
Dr. Timothy O'Keefe is dean of the College of Business and Economics at Longwood University, Farmville, Va.
Dr. Keith Stenehjem is vice president for academic affairs at Mayville State University, Mayville, N.D.
Dr. Brian Van Horn is associate provost at Murray State University, Murray, Ky.
Following campus visits on March 5-8, the search committee will recommend a group of finalists to the State Board of Higher Education, which will conduct final interviews on the Mayville State campus March 28, with the selection of the Mayville State University president announced thereafter.
