The Mayville State University students of Dr. Carolyn Baker will present their research in their “Walk Around the World” poster sessions that will take place Friday, May 5, 2017 in the MSU Campus Center.
Students enrolled in ENGL 120 will have their work on display and will also be available to visit with those who come through from 10 to 11 a.m. and from 2 to 3 p.m. Their research is incorporated into articles that will appear in the updated Byrnes-Quanbeck Library walking tour of Mayville-Portland publication. The students will display posters that chronicle their insights about the history of houses and businesses in the Mayville-Portland area.
Dr. Baker’s ENGL 250 and ENGL 340 students will also have posters available from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday, May 5. These posters will illustrate their reading of recent multicultural books that inform their global understanding, as well as the multicultural friendships they have made.
