The Mayville State University women's basketball team has moved up another spot in the latest NAIA Top 25 National Poll. Based on the strength of their two wins during the week prior, the Comets moved from #19 to #18 the week of February 4. The Comets have been ranked in the poll for three consecutive weeks, moving up each week.
The Comets defeated Dakota State 66-55 in a home game January 30. On Saturday, afternoon, February 2, they defeated #25 in the poll, Valley City State, with a score of 70-59. As of February6, the Comets are 19-2 on the season, and have won 15 of the last 16 games. The Comets are slated to play Dakota State Wednesday, February 6. They'll play at home Friday night and Saturday in games versus Oglala Lakota College.
